Frequently Asked Questions

It is an effective evidence-based way to get rid of addictions or simply bad habits. The probability of a promise being kept, and a harmful habit being quit by this method is at least 10 times greater than in the case of individual efforts.

There are two ways to participate: by getting rid of a harmful habit, the Promiser can earn money, or they can simply agree to a contract with the supporters and aim for their goals without any financial liabilities or bonuses.

Scientific research has proved that the first option—the pursuit of a financial reward and the fear of losing their deposit—is the thing that motivates a person the most.

Nevertheless, even if you agree to a contract without any money, you significantly increase the likelihood that you will achieve your goal.

A Promiser is a person who undertakes to quit a harmful habit (e.g., smoking tobacco, consuming alcohol, gambling, computer games, etc.) or simply challenges themselves to get rid of an unhealthy lifestyle—inactivity, spontaneous shopping, procrastination, laziness, addiction to food, sex, social networks, internet, etc.

A Supporter is a person who supports and controls the way the Promiser fulfils their obligations. A Supporter may express their support not only by their belief, but also by a financial reward if the Promiser keeps their promise.

Furthermore, the Supporter has the right to terminate the contract if the Promiser breaks their promise.

The more Supporters there are, the stricter the discipline and the greater the financial benefit for the person aiming for the result.

Followers are the Promiser’s friends or absolute strangers who observe the process from the outside, see how the person who has accepted the challenge manages to fight the harmful habit, and give them moral support.

The more Followers there are, the stricter the discipline, and the greater the motivation is for the person aiming for the result.

Furthermore, a Follower can become a Supporter at any time and grant a financial reward. The approval of the Promiser is required.

When a Promiser Challenges Themselves:

  1. The person states, which addiction or simply bad habit they want to get rid of and for how long they promise not to indulge in that habit. They must begin to fulfil the promise within one month.

  2. The Promiser chooses the size of the deposit—i.e., the amount that they agree to lose should they fail to keep the promise. Each Supporter will have to deposit the same amount at minimum. For better results, it is recommended that the deposit should be large enough to be unpleasant to lose.

  3. The Promiser invites Supporters (people they trust) in the Promiser.pro system and agrees to a contract with them.

In order for the fight against a harmful habit to be more effective, it is recommended that the Supporters be people close to the Promiser as they will be next in line behind the Promiser to reap the biggest benefits when the Promiser successfully gets rid of the addiction (e.g., a wife will be happy if her husband quits drinking, an employer will value a non-smoking and disciplined employee more, and a father will be happy if his son stops gambling such as playing slot machines).

A Promiser can begin fulfilling their promise even without any confirmed rewards from Supporters, who can join later.

In case no Supporters ever join a promise, the Promiser can either complete the promise, or cancel it for free.

  4. The account of the Promiser’s promise is private; however, if they feel that the peer recognition and pressure is important, or that they need a larger crowd of Supporters (the more Supporters there are, the greater the financial benefit), the Promiser can make the account of their promise public and allow anyone to join as a Follower who can become a Supporter, later.

The Promiser can also share their achievements via social networks should they wish.

  5. If the Promiser keeps their promise, the bonus specified in the contract is deducted from the Supporters' payment cards and transferred to the Promiser (transfer costs are deducted from this amount). A Promiser must provide their account details in order to receive their rewards.

  6. If the Promiser fails to keep their promise, their deposit is used to support charities, projects fighting addictions and/or promoting a healthy lifestyle as well as to cover organisational costs. The Supporters keep their money.

Both the Promiser and the Supporters must submit their payment card details at the beginning of the promise.

ATTENTION! After confirming your deal you will not be charged and no money will be reserved until the promise is completed or broken.

When a Supporter or an Employer Challenges the Promiser:

  1. A person states which addiction or simply bad habit, and for what period of time, they challenge the Promiser—a family member, a friend, an employee, or another important person who needs help—to get rid of it.

  2. The challenger chooses the size of the bonus—i.e., the amount that the Supporter or the employer agrees to pay should the Promiser keep their promise.

The Promiser will have to deposit the same amount at minimum, unless the Supporter marks a special checkbox that allows the Promiser to deposit a smaller sum. If the checkbox is marked, the deposit will have to be no smaller than 10% of the Supporter’s bonus or 10 GBP/USD/EUR.

  3. A person challenges the Promiser to get rid of a harmful habit in the Promiser.pro system and concludes a contract with them.

When accepting the challenge, the Promiser can set the promise to begin within one month.

An employer can invite an unlimited number of employees.

  4. If the Promiser keeps their promise, the bonus stipulated in the contract is deducted from the Supporters' payment cards and transferred to the account indicated by the Promiser (transfer costs are deducted from this amount).
If one of the Supporters is an employer, who confirmed the deal without a payment card, then the employer is required to transfer the reward to the employee directly. If the employer is the only Supporter, the Promiser doesn't need to provide an account for rewards.

An exception is made for employers, who can choose the option to confirm a deal without a payment card. In that case they must transfer their rewards directly to successful employees at the end of their promises.

ATTENTION! After confirming your deal, you will not be charged, and no money will be reserved until the promise is completed or broken.

When confirming the contract terms between the Promiser and their Supporters you can use a payment card of your choice. For the best financial operations guarantee, Stripe, one of the biggest online payment services worldwide, is used. Only the payment card information and an email address are required from the user to confirm their deposit. Also, a Promiser must provide their account details by the end their promise term in order to receive their rewards.

Employers have an option to confirm a deal without a payment card. Instead, they transfer their rewards directly to successful employees at the end of their promises. If the employer is the only Supporter, the Promiser doesn't need to provide an account for rewards.

ATTENTION! Funds are not reserved, and money is not transferred before the contract is completed (or failed because the promise was not kept) according to the individual commitment.

We often resolve to make changes from a certain reference point: New Year’s Day, a birthday, after a vacation, from the beginning of the next month or from Monday. A specific date helps concentrate and start the process.

The unexpected proposal of a challenge may disturb a person; so, a little bit of time enables the Promiser to prepare to get rid of a harmful habit and to set their mindset towards a new stage of life.

The Supporters control whether the Promiser is keeping the promise. If it is discovered that the Promiser has broken their promise during the term of the contract, any Supporter can terminate the contract.

Should none of the Supporters terminate the contract before the end of the chosen period (by pressing a special button in the system), the Promiser shall be considered as having kept his promise.

Furthermore, the Promiser can choose to terminate the contract if he/she understands and admits to their Supporters, Followers and themselves in a dignified manner that they have failed to keep the promise.

Hiding a habit in the family, among friends, or in a work environment for three, six or more months is difficult for a person who has a harmful habit. Therefore, the Supporters supervise if the Promiser keeps the promise.

Furthermore, in case of any doubts, a Hair Test can be ordered in our shop: the test determines whether any nicotine, alcohol, or narcotic substances were used.

A Smart Breathalyzer, Disposable Urine Tests designed for the detection of nicotine and narcotic substances, or the Smart Chair “Sigma Chair” for weight control can also be ordered. In cases when the promise concerns avoiding certain places (slot machine rooms, casinos, shops, etc.), we can recommend the services of a Detective or a Polygraph for the control of the promise.

A hair test is a sophisticated procedure performed in a laboratory in Germany during which head hairs are analyzed in order to determine whether a person has used alcohol, tobacco, or narcotic or psychotropic substances during a certain period of time. The test can be ordered in our shop.

When the contract is concluded, including deposit and bonuses:

If the Supporter challenges the Promiser, the Supporter can choose the desired amount, but not less than 10 GBP/USD/EUR. The higher the amount, the greater the Promiser’s motivation.

If the Promiser challenges themselves and invites Supporters to participate, the amount allotted by each Supporter may not be smaller than the Promiser’s deposit.

Both the Promiser and the Supporter must submit their payment card details at the beginning of the promise; however, attention: funds are not reserved and money is not transferred before the contract is performed (or terminated because the promise was not kept) according to the individual commitment.

Employers have an option to confirm a deal without a payment card. Instead, they transfer their rewards directly to successful employees at the end of their promises.

The number of Supporters and Followers is unlimited. The Promiser can add new Supporters and Followers even during the period of the challenge. The Supporters can increase their bonus at any time, while Followers can become Supporters (with the Promiser’s approval) and allot financial rewards. The more Supporters there are, the greater the motivation and the bonus in the case of success.
